Homemade Butter
Homemade butter is surprisingly easy to make and tastes so much better than shop bought butter. Made up of only 1 ingredient, all you need to make butter at home is double cream, an electric whisk and some patience!
Essentially all you’re doing is whisking cream until it breaks and then draining, washing and shaping it - viola you have butter!
The whisking process will look something like this:

Once the butterfat and buttermilk separate completely, squash the butter to bring it together and then wash it in cold water.
Pat the butter into shape using your hands.
Wrap in some parchment paper and store in the refrigerator.
FLAVOURING YOUR BUTTER:
There’s endless ways in which you can flavour this butter. All you have to do is add salt, garlic, thyme, parsley or any herb that you like to give the butter your desired taste. You can even keep it unsalted.
