Chocolate bark is one of the easiest yet most delicious treats that you can make. All you need is some chocolate and easter themed toppings of your choice!

This recipe is super simple and makes the perfect gift/last minute dessert.

Some notes before you begin:

CHOCOLATE:

You can use any chocolate of your choice. Remember to choose a chocolate that you really enjoy as this will determine the taste of your bark. I usually go for a chocolate with 40% cocoa.

COCONUT OIL

I always add just a teaspoon of coconut oil to my chocolate because it helps the chocolate to melt more smoothly and also gives it a great shine without adding any taste of coconut.

Melting the Chocolate: You in the microwave or using the double boiler method.

If using a microwave, start by putting the chocolate in for 1 minute, with 15-second intervals, make sure to stir the chocolate after each interval and keep heating until the chocolate is completely smooth.

If using the double boiler method, put the chocolate into a glass mixing bowl and place it on top of a pot that is filled half way with hot/boiling water. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted.

TOPPINGS:

You can use any toppings of your choice. Mini eggs are a must for me when it comes to easter themed desserts, however you can choose any chocolate eggs/bunnies/nuts that you like!
